1. Introduction
This Privacy Policy explains how Autopay Alert (the “App,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) handles information when you use the App.
Autopay Alert is a planning and reminder tool. It helps you track recurring bills, payday timing, estimated projected balances, and safe-to-spend amounts. The App does not connect to your bank, does not move money, and does not guarantee that you will avoid fees or overdrafts.
2. Information you enter in the App
You may manually enter information such as:
- Current balance amounts
- Payday dates or pay schedules
- Recurring bill names, amounts, categories, due dates, and recurrence settings
- Reminder preferences
- Optional notes that you choose to add
This information is used to provide the App’s core features, including projected balance estimates, cash gap warnings, safe-to-spend calculations, upcoming autopay views, and reminders.
Your bill, payday, balance, and planning data is stored locally on your device. We do not operate a cloud account system for this data and do not store this information on our servers.
3. Information we do not collect
Autopay Alert is designed to work without a user account or bank connection. We do not collect:
- Bank login credentials
- Bank account numbers
- Credit card numbers
- Government identification numbers
- Cloud account data for your bills, payday schedule, or balance entries
The App does not include in-app purchases, paid subscriptions, or paid account features.
4. Advertising and advertising ID
Autopay Alert is free to download and is monetized through in-app advertising. To support ads, the App and our advertising partners may collect or use certain information from your device, including the advertising ID, device information, approximate location inferred from network or device signals, ad interaction data, diagnostics, and similar information used for ad delivery, frequency capping, fraud prevention, analytics, and ad performance measurement.
The advertising ID is a resettable identifier provided by your device platform. You can reset or limit use of the advertising ID through your device settings, where supported by your operating system.
Ad partners may process advertising-related information according to their own privacy policies. We do not provide ad partners with the bill names, payday dates, balance entries, or notes you manually enter into the App.
5. Analytics and diagnostics
We may receive limited technical information that helps us understand app performance, diagnose crashes, improve reliability, and maintain the App. This may include device model, operating system version, app version, crash logs, performance data, and general usage events.
Analytics and diagnostics are used to improve the App and are not intended to identify the contents of your personal bill, payday, balance, or note entries.
6. Notifications and reminders
If you enable reminders, the App may use local notifications on your device to remind you about bills, balance updates, or payday-related planning. Notification settings can be changed through the App or your device settings.
7. How information is used
Information handled by the App may be used to:
- Provide payday safety, cash gap, and safe-to-spend features
- Display upcoming autopays and projected balances
- Send local reminders if you enable them
- Show and measure ads
- Prevent fraud or abuse related to ads
- Improve app performance and fix bugs
8. Sharing of information
We do not sell your manually entered bill, payday, balance, or note data. We do not sync that data to our servers.
Advertising and analytics partners may receive advertising-related, technical, diagnostic, or usage information as described in this Privacy Policy. These partners process information to provide advertising, measurement, security, analytics, and similar services.
We may also disclose information if required by law, legal process, or to protect rights, safety, and security.
9. Data retention and deletion
Because your manually entered planning data is stored locally on your device, it generally remains on your device until you edit it, delete it, clear app data, or uninstall the App.
Advertising, analytics, and diagnostic information handled by third-party partners may be retained according to those partners’ own retention practices.
10. Your choices
You can control your information in several ways:
- Edit or delete bills, payday schedules, balance entries, reminders, and notes inside the App where available
- Disable notifications through your device settings
- Reset or limit your device advertising ID through your device settings, where supported
- Clear app data or uninstall the App to remove locally stored app data from your device
11. Children’s privacy
Autopay Alert is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the App, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.
12. Security
We use reasonable measures designed to protect information handled by the App. However, no app, device, storage method, or transmission method can be guaranteed to be completely secure. You are responsible for keeping your device secure.
13. International users
The App may be available in multiple regions. Advertising, analytics, and diagnostic partners may process information in countries other than the country where you live. These countries may have different data protection laws.
14. Changes to this Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make changes, we will update the “Last updated” date above. Your continued use of the App after a policy update means you accept the updated Privacy Policy.
